Le Bistrot is a small team, and we like it that way. Everyone here genuinely cares about the food, the wine, and the people who come through our doors and that’s what we look for when we’re welcoming someone new. We’re based on George IV Bridge, in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, inside the French Institute. It’s a special setting, and the work reflects that. Whether you’re front of house or in the kitchen, you’ll be part of a place where the cooking is done properly and guests leave having had a very good time.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We’re not always hiring for a specific role, but we’re always interested in hearing from people who share our standards. If you take pride in what you do, enjoy working as part of a close team, and have a genuine interest in French food and hospitality, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in a similar environment is helpful, but attitude matters just as much. We’re a kitchen that cooks to order and a front of house that knows its wine list — the right person will be curious about both.
